Admiral Insurance Group®, a Berkley Company providing wholesale-dedicated excess and surplus (E&S) lines commercial insurance, announced the relaunch of its Health, Nutrition, and Lifestyle coverage with enhanced NutraLife™ capabilities designed specifically for the evolving needs of health, beauty, and wellness organizations.
As these organizations navigate increasing regulatory, product liability, financial, and reputational risks that are inherent to their operations, comprehensive coverage is more important than ever. Traditional Commercial Casualty policies often focus primarily on bodily injury and property damage, leaving critical coverage gaps. NutraLife addresses these challenges by combining core Casualty protection with specialized coverage capabilities.
In addition, NutraLife provides protection against financial loss, product recalls, regulatory exposures, manufacturing mistakes, professional services, reputational harm, and cyber risks facing today’s health, beauty, and wellness organizations.
Key enhancements include:
- Integrated Coverage Approach: Builds specialized NutraLife™ enhancements onto a Commercial General Liability foundation, helping address multiple exposures within a coordinated product structure.
- Professional Liability Protection: Addresses third-party financial loss arising from covered negligent professional services, including consulting services related to covered operations and products for others.
- Clinical Trial-Related Protection: Provides vicarious liability coverage arising from the inclusion, administration, or testing of the insured’s product in a covered clinical trial.
- Recall and Regulatory Expense Coverage: Includes coverage capabilities for qualifying product recall expenses and covered California Proposition 65 civil penalties arising from governmental regulatory actions.
- Proactive Loss Mitigation: Provides qualifying rectification expense coverage before a claim is made, along with reputation protection expense coverage following negative publicity directly resulting from a covered incident.
- Cyber Coverage Option: Third-party and first-party cyber coverage may be available by separate endorsement, subject to underwriting.
“From product development through distribution, health, beauty, and wellness companies face a wide range of unique risks that can result in costly claims,” said Robert Mescher, Senior Vice President of Casualty Underwriting at Admiral Insurance Group. “NutraLife™ was designed to help address those exposures through a more comprehensive solution, giving our insureds the confidence that they have protection tailored to the needs of their business.”
