Admiral Insurance Group, a Berkley company providing wholesale-dedicated excess and surplus (E&S) lines commercial insurance, was selected for the 2026 RISE Elite 50 Internship list and was also recognized for Best Intern Led Project.
Since launching in 2016 with just four interns in New Jersey, Admiral’s internship program has expanded to offices across the country, providing students with opportunities to explore careers in insurance while making meaningful contributions to the organization.
“The best internships are a two-way experience. Our interns bring fresh perspectives and ideas that help us think differently, while Admiral gives them the opportunity to learn, contribute in meaningful ways, and see the impact of their work,” said Renae Gary, Vice President of Human Resources at Admiral Insurance Group. “We want every intern to leave the experience having grown their skills, built confidence, and gained a better understanding of what they want from their future career.”
Admiral’s 10-week summer internship program combines hands-on experience with professional development and exposure to different areas of the business. Interns work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects, connect with employees across departments and leadership levels, and participate in community volunteer and employee engagement activities.
A defining feature of the program is its collaborative business project. Interns work in teams to research opportunities, develop recommendations, and present their ideas directly to Admiral’s leadership team. These projects have helped shape business decisions, including the company’s expansion into cannabis insurance and initiatives focused on technology and process improvement.
Admiral’s continued recognition reflects its investment in creating opportunities for students to develop practical skills, build professional relationships, and discover the diverse career paths available in the insurance industry.
Admiral is now recruiting interns for their 2027 summer internship program.
