Director of Marketing

What is your area of expertise within marketing?

I specialize in strategic marketing, product promotion, and brand awareness. I particularly enjoy the challenge of utilizing my expertise to generate excitement and buzz within the insurance world.

What does an average day look like?

Is there such a thing as an average day in the marketing world? This is exactly why I enjoy being part of this team—each day brings something new and unique. Whether it is a new product launch, highlighting our brand, or planning an event, it is always a fun challenge.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I hold the title of the ultimate ROCKY movie enthusiast! I’ll drop everything if any of the Rocky film editions are airing on TV. I even applied to be an extra for CREED and had the amazing experience of participating in the filming of the fight scene.

What would someone be surprised to learn about marketing?

Marketing plays a significant role in just about everything because it includes a wide range of strategies and techniques to understand consumer behavior and deliver a message. It is so powerful as it helps shape attitudes and influence behaviors through many aspects of our lives. How many of you went to see the Barbie Movie? The Barbie brand and the color pink were everywhere – that is the power of Marketing!

What are you most passionate about in your personal life?

In my personal life, I love the quality time I spend with friends and family. I enjoy hosting gatherings and events at my home. My marketing-oriented mind can’t help but include a good theme and branding into the mix.

What is the most unique talent you have?

I love to bake! Whether it’s cookies, brownies, pies, cream puffs, or cakes. I’ve taken various cake decorating classes; I’m basically on a mission to turn every occasion into a cake extravaganza.

Patrick Gallagher

Digital Marketing Manager

What is your area of expertise within marketing?

If I had to pick one, it would be my technical proficiency. In my Digital Marketing Manager role I’m focused on making sure that our internal and external systems are running as best they can for my team members and for our customers.

What does an average day look like?

The great thing about being in marketing is that there is no true average or standard day within my job. One day I’ll be focused on researching new systems that our team will use and the next I could be making updates to our customer facing website. The variety and range of projects that I work on makes each day unique.

What are you most passionate about in your personal life?

My family is everything to me. I have an incredible wife, Ashley, and we have a very smart and energetic daughter. We also happen to have three dogs that each have their own comfort level with our little one. Our house is never calm or quiet… which I love!!

What do you enjoy most about your role?

That my creativity is not just utilized but essential throughout all my projects. There is rarely a straightforward task on my plate. I’m able to apply my skills and encouraged to be innovative whenever possible.

If a friend was considering joining Admiral’s marketing team, what would you want them to know?

That while we all handle different roles on the team, every one of us is able and would go out of our way to help anyone on the team with whatever they need. We all have very different personalities and ways of working but our teamwork is unmatched.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Food… anything chocolate
Drink… Oban 14 year single malt scotch
Hobby… planted fish tanks (if you have one, you know!)

Events Manager

What is your area of expertise within marketing?

Events and Broker swag & gifting

What does an average day look like?

An average day for me, is going through all my emails first thing in the morning. We pride ourselves on customer service, with both our internal and external stakeholders. Then I could be reviewing a contract for an event venue or picking menus for a holiday party. I will field some requests for new business cards or to send a broker a branded baby onesie. Then, I could have a meeting about plans for upcoming events with a branch VP. I saw tik tok video about a cool new restaurant last night, so I’ll do some research to see if it would be a good fit for any of our upcoming events. To end the day, I send out some boxes with materials for an upcoming broker educational training event.

What do enjoy most about your role?

No two days are the same and it allows me to flex my creative muscles. As frustrating as logistics can be sometimes, when it works out, it’s like solving a giant puzzle. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that we get to go to some really cool places.

What is something you really geek out about?

True crime documentaries, different pasta shapes, and vacation itineraries!

If a friend was considering joining Admiral’s marketing team, what would you want them to know?

You have to be fun and have a sense of humor. Our team meetings can go a little off the rails, so be ready to roll with it. Also, details are important to us! We’re pretty Type-A over here.

If you could max out a credit card at any store, where would it be?

Amazon – once I get an idea in my head, I want to make it happen ASAP, so love that I can get stuff delivered right to my door in a day or two.
