  • My first real office job was working for an auditing firm as part of our high school co-op program—quickly learned people don’t like you pointing out their mistakes. Someone stole my jacket, which I’d actually “borrowed” from a friend. I learned about Karma.
  • I’m an Insurance Marketing Communications Association Board Member and get to work with some amazing people in the industry!

Personal Facts

 

  • I succumbed to a gardening addiction following the (Un)Lucky Charms Incident of 2021 that led to a concussion.
  • After my kids, I live for good barbeque and extra crispy wings (and sunshine).
  • I put myself through school while working full-time (and at times part-time also).
  • Motion and Charlene do not mix well, but heavy metal shows and Charlene do.

Professional Bio

Charlene Goodwin is Senior Vice President of Marketing at Admiral Insurance Group and is responsible for strategic marketing and communications to enhance the Admiral brand, its products, and broker relationships. She also founded Admiral’s Employee Empowerment groups and is the lead for diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Charlene has spent more than half of her marketing career serving the global commercial insurance industry where she has repositioned organizations and brands, and developed businesses in new international markets. Prior to joining Admiral in 2018, Charlene was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Advisen (now Zywave), following her role as Vice President of Marketing for catastrophe modeling firm EQECAT (now Corelogic).  

Charlene holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Thomas Edison State University. She also earned her Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designation in 2020. Charlene is a current Board Member of the Insurance Marketing Communications Association and is Co-Chair of the Strategic Partnerships Committee.
