About The Program
Instead of the traditional design-bid-build, design-build project delivery is increasing in use, with a single entity contracted to the Owner for the design and construction. Either the design firm or contractor can lead, however the trend is the contractor has the lead role hiring the design firms as subconsultants. This session will discuss the responsibilities of the design-builder for directing and coordinating both the design and the construction services, the advantages and disadvantages and risk management recommendations.
