  • I am a fourth-generation insurance professional. My father, grandfather, and great-grandfather owned a successful P&C insurance agency for over 40 years in my hometown of Lindenhurst, NY.
  • I have only worked for two insurance companies during my entire career.
  • I have participated in two different Ragnar 200-mile running relay races that were sponsored by Admiral, with some extremely competitive current and former Admiral co-workers on our team that pushed me to succeed.

  • I have lived on an island (Long Island) my whole life.
  • BBQing is one of my favorite summertime activities.
  • Before pursuing a career in insurance, I wanted to either be a computer programmer or a meteorologist.

Professional Bio

Jeff Lunt is the Chief Underwriting Officer at Admiral Insurance Group, where he oversees all aspects of the Home Office Underwriting Department. Prior to becoming CUO, Jeff was responsible for leading the product management and development process for Admiral’s professional liability business as the VP of Professional Liability Product Management. 

Jeff has more than 35 years of industry experience, beginning in 1987 as an underwriter at PRI, a medical malpractice carrier based in New York. After leading the underwriting department at his prior company for almost 15 years, he left the admitted market in 2011 and joined Admiral to drive new product development and enhance existing products for the E&S Professional Liability market. After serving in that position for 10 years, he was elevated to his current role as CUO in early 2021. 

Jeff graduated from Binghamton University in New York with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. He holds several insurance designations, including the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF).
