  • I began my insurance career when I was a freshman in college as an INROADS intern for Continental Insurance. Their corporate office was located at 180 Maiden Lane in New York.
  • Prior to Admiral, I worked for AIG and the office was coincidentally located at 180 Maiden Lane in New York.
  • I always had longer than a two-hour per day commute to the office until 2016 when I decided to move closer to Admiral.

  • I enjoy art, reading, and playing with my three dogs.

Professional Bio

Tracey Howells is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Admiral, as well as for two additional operating units within W.R. Berkley Corporation. With three decades of expertise in finance and accounting, Tracey plays a pivotal role in collaborating with senior leadership to cultivate and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and profitability.

Her career began at Arthur Andersen, where she worked as a Certified Public Accountant in public accounting. Following this foundational experience, Tracey progressed through various leadership positions, including Head of Internal Audit, Director of Reinsurance, Treasurer, and Statutory Accounting Manager. These roles equipped her with invaluable insights into internal controls, reinsurance, risk management, and financial reporting and analysis.

Tracey graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
