  • I put myself through law school in part by answering phones, washing dishes, and painting rooms at the Monastery at Villanova.
  • I gained incredible breadth and depth of experience leading the rehabilitation of a medical malpractice carrier before I came to Admiral.

  • If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to read minds…I’d never lose a hand of poker!
  • Away from work, my passion is golf and I love to bet on the golf course.
  • I am the second most rah-rah Villanova alum behind my wife, who is worse than me.

Professional Bio

Richard Moore has been serving as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Claims at Admiral Insurance Group since 2009. In his role as the Senior Vice President of Claims, Richard spends most of his time tending to the numerous high-severity claims that Admiral defends. Moreover, as Admiral’s General Counsel, he provides legal advice to all departments when necessary and offers guidance on contract language and regulatory matters.

Richard has a wealth of experience as an attorney, with a remarkable 35 years in the legal profession, and 27 of those years dedicated to the insurance industry. He started his career in 1988, where he practiced law for nine years in a private firm before shifting his focus to the insurance industry. In 1996, Richard became in-house counsel for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he provided legal counsel on medical malpractice-related matters.

Richard completed his education at Villanova University and Villanova University School of Law. He is currently admitted to practice law in New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
